Banff 2005 Program Events


Canadian Documart - SOLD

This plenary session provides a platform for Canadian producers and those partnered with Canadian producers to compete for the world's richest pitch prize. Eight finalists will compete for prizes totaling $100,000 before a panel of international and Canadian commissioning editors.

Fellowship and Mentorship Programs - SOLD

These programs, with titling opportunity, are intended to encourage professional development in the television industry by enabling emerging creative talent to travel to and attend the Festival free of charge and receive mentorship from industry professionals while in Banff.

Banff Rockie Awards Show - SOLD

The highlight of the Banff World Television Festival, the Rockie Awards celebrate and honour the best programming from around the world.

Opening Keynote Address - SOLD

Pitchers' Paradise & New Players' Pitch - 1 SOLD ( 2 Avail )

The Pitchers' Paradise is a dynamic and entertaining forum that brings together independent producers to pitch new projects to commissioning editors and to discuss how their projects could be financed. Held as three separate sessions for Children's/Drama and Comedy/Reality and Lifestyle.

New Players' Pitch: Newcomers to Banff and those with one production credit or less can make a three-minute pitch to commissioning editors and producers and compete for cash and product prizes. Prizes also available for sponsorship.

Delegate Bag - SOLD

This corporate branding opportunity provides highly visible exposure throughout the Festival and beyond. As sponsor of the delegate bag, your logo is prominently displayed on the front of the bag.

Sponsor a Day at Banff - 2 SOLD ( 1 Avail )

The day belongs to you. Your name and logo appear on all print promotions for the day, on signage and on the website. You also have the opportunity for a brief welcome address to delegates at the start of the day.

Banff Marketplace - SOLD

Open 24 hours a day, the Banff Marketplace is a high visibility, high traffic area that provides major exposure throughout the Festival. The place where delegates meet to discuss business and network, this year's venue also offers a trade show of high end technology and services to the production industry.

Internet Café

Delegates at Banff must stay in touch and need to access their e-mail and the Internet several times a day. The Internet Café, located in the heart of the main conference area, features dedicated wireless access for those with laptops as well as computer workstations for those who have left their laptops behind.

Video Library and Screening Room - SOLD

All programs entered into the competition are available for viewing. There will be at least 16 screening stations available 24 hours a day. This titling opportunity provides excellent corporate exposure around the conference site, at the library and in the screening room.

The Patio - SOLD

Own the patio for the festival and take advantage of extensive corporate branding and visibility. The patio is accessible from the Conference Centre and is the central hub for meeting and socializing while taking in the spectacular Rocky Mountain view.

Registration & Information Centre - SOLD

The central hive of activitiy and the first place delegates come when they arrive at Banff, the Registration and Information Centre offers high profile signage and promotional opportunities.

A comprehensive directory of decision makers and key players in the industry, the delegate list remains an important resource long after the festival concludes. Banff Online News Bulletin - SOLD

Banff Online is the news bulletin distributed every two weeks throughout the year to more than 6,000 industry professionals around the world. Banff Online launches in mid-December and continues until after the end of the Festival.

Designed for newcomers to Banff, Rookies in the Rockies is an introductory session held Sunday afternoon and Monday morning featuring tips and information on how to get the most out of the Banff experience.

Afternoon Delights

Treat your fellow delegates to an afternoon treat on the patio. Branded with "Compliments of" your company, ice cream or alcohol-free cocktails will be handed out at 3 p.m. each afternoon during the Festival.

Mints/Candies - SOLD

Give your company corporate exposure by having bowls of branded mints on every table in the Delegate Lounge, the meeting hub of the Festival. You provide the mints. We provide the exposure all week long.
