BWTVF 2007 Goes Green with David Suzuki, Daryl Hannah and Tim Flannery

The Banff World Television Festival is turning over a ‘green’ leaf this year, introducing eco-friendly practices and a focus on climate change. As part of this initiative, environmentalist, broadcaster and award-winning scientist David Suzuki, actor and environmentalist Daryl Hannah, and internationally acclaimed scientist, explorer, conservationist and author Tim Flannery have been confirmed to take part in a panel entitled "Code Green - Environmental Responsibility in the Media". BBC Director General Mark Thompson to Accept Banff World Television Festival 2007 Outstanding Achievement Award on Behalf of the BBC

The Banff World Television Festival will present its 2007 Outstanding Achievement Award to the British Broadcasting Corporation. The BBC will be honoured for its high-quality programming and overall contribution to the television industry. Mark Thompson, Director General of the BBC will attend BWTVF to accept the award, and to take part in a Question and Answer session at the close of BWTVF’s sister event, nextMEDIA - The Future of Digital Content on Sunday June 10, that will be attended by delegates from both events.
