25th Anniversary Banff Television Festival |
| Join us in June 2004 to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Banff Television Festival - Canada?s premier international event for program makers and content creators in television and new media. Hundreds of television professionals from around the world will gather at the Fairmont Banff Springs in the Canadian Rockies June 13 - 17 to take part in this annual event, which celebrates excellence in international television programming and explores the issues, challenges, creative and business opportunities in the industry. |

Banff Rockie Award Winners 2004
|
British program-makers walked off with the lion's share of Banff's polished bronze Rockies Sunday night, but it was Japan and the United States who got the two biggest prizes -- the gold and silver of the 25th edition of the Banff Rockie Awards. The $50,000 Global Television Grand Prize for Best of the Festival went to the producers of Children -- Full of Life: Learning to Care, from NHK, Japan's public broadcaster. It was the first time in the Festival's history that a Japanese program won the Grand Prize, and the first time that the Family and Youth category winner had gone on to claim top honors.

BANFF 2004 Deemed a Huge Success |
| (Banff, Alberta, Canada, June 16, 2004) The 25th Anniversary Banff Television Festival came to a successful close today with the presentation of prizes to winners of the pitching competitions. Approximately 1300 delegates from around the world took part in the Festival which featured a spectacular line-up of seminars, workshops, networking opportunities and a special Salute to Canada.
